I ordered this jacket directly here on the official website. I naively assumed that since it’s a discounted 2022 model, I would just get solid, time-tested gear. But ThirtyTwo decided to give me a real surprise and test my attention to detail. Spoiler: reality lost to the site description in a landslide.
Let's walk through the list of "unique features" I received (or didn't):
Zippers: The description proudly states "2-Way Aquaguard Zipper" from legendary YKK. In reality, the jacket features some shy, nameless cheap substitute. Maybe they ran out of YKK back in 2021. The same applies to the chest pockets.
Hand Pockets: Promised: "Zippered Brush Tricot Lined Pockets" (warm lining). Reality: your hands will enjoy direct contact with the freezing cold membrane fabric. There is absolutely no fleece lining inside. Toughen up!
Snow Gaiter: Claimed: "Zip-Out Stretch Waist Gaiter". I honestly looked for the zipper to remove it. Turns out, "Zip-Out" means "stitched in permanently" in ThirtyTwo language. An innovative solution.
Jacket-to-Pant Interface: "Snap Lock Jacket to Pant Interface". I couldn't find a single loop, ring, or snap to connect the jacket to pants. Maybe they are invisible?
Hood: The "Adjustable Hood" only adjusts around the brim. Depth adjustment is absolutely missing, so enjoy having the hood completely over your eyes.
THE MAIN HIT — Ventilation: The description lists "Mesh Lined Zippered Vents" (pit vents). This is a basic necessity for any snowboard jacket. On my jacket, ventilation is missing entirely. It's just a solid seam. Brilliant design! Sweat your heart out.
I want to specifically thank you for the sleeve pass pocket and internal media pocket — these are the only two items from the entire long list of promises that turned out to be true.
The cherry on top — Customer Service: When I contacted official support with this discrepancy list, hoping it was just a terrible manufacturing defect, manager Pete provided a comprehensive answer: "we will not be able to do anything". What an amazing level of support for a flagship brand!
Verdict: If you love playing the lottery and don't need ventilation in the mountains — buy boldly. I advise everyone else to think twice before trusting the descriptions on this site.

Awesome jacket all around. I am 5 foot 10 with bigger shoulders, around 235 pounds and the XL fit perfect. Not too big and not too small. Other xl’s I’ve bought either have a articulated fit and are too tight or they are boxy as **** and I look like a bowling ball lol. But not this jacket, looks and feels great. The only thing I would take a dig at, is if you zip the coat all the way up to the neck, it is kind of stiff around the neck and chin. But I’m sure that will break in with time.

If your looking for this to fit on the tighter side I’d size down, I’m 6’2 165 and ordered in a Large.
It fits like a XL. It was way too long, thankfully it has a ton of options to tighten it and I was able to make it fit very nice. Quality is 10/10. Water beads just about if not exactly the same as the BETA AR jacket. UPDATE: both drawstring things on the bottom snapped on the first time trying to tighten it, the rubber end peice of the main zipper just broke off when I was zipping it up. I wore this jacket twice and only zippped it up twice. Sad
This is my second time buying this jacket. I’m a shell guy, but this garment is the most waterproof thing I’ve ever worn that isn’t goretex. Plus everything 32 makes has that riding swag all us snowboarders love. Keep it up 32!
